That\u2019s even higher than the ~43% from a year ago, and it signals that buyers are gaining leverage as more inventory and less competition create new opportunities. These concessions aren\u2019t just about a lower asking price; we\u2019re talking about sellers stepping in to help with repairs, covering closing costs, or even offering mortgage-rate buydowns\u2014multiple ways to reduce the total cost of buying a home. I\u2019ve noticed sellers getting creative, using closing-cost credits and rate buydowns to keep deals moving, not just adjusting the price. In fact, about 16% of homes sold nationally in mid-Q3 combined a price reduction with a concession, giving buyers even more room to make a move.
